Nero - Guilt

Nero are an Electronic Drum and Bass/Dubstep Duo from London. Even though they are just breaking through into mainstream charts Nero have been around the D'n'B/Dubstep scene for a couple of years, DJing and remixing as well as working on their album.

Guilt is their next single to be released from their forthcoming album 'Welcome Reality' and it features vocals from Alana Watson who appears on many of their tracks. As far as Dubstep tracks go 'Guilt' is a very calm and melodic track. With amazing vocals and massive baselines this tune will be big everywhere you go.

Elbow - Open Arms

Elbow are an alternative rock band from England. They have been around for many years creating 4 very good albums and even winning the Mercury Music Prize in 2008, Open Arms is the second single from their latest album 'Build A Rocket Boys!'

'Open Arms' has the usual anthemic sound that Elbow are famous for but at the same time it has a beautiful melodic style to it. The one bad thing is that this song doesn't seem to go anywhere as it builds up and then fades away just as quickly.

They are a massive band with an amazing sound but i feel this song will not be liked by everybody which is why i think it will struggle to break the top 20.

Nicki Minaj - Girls Fall Like Dominoes

Nicki Minaj is a female rap artist from New York and is signed to Lil Wayne's record label Young Money Entertainment. She has had collaborated with massive artists such as Lil Wayne and Drake.

Girls Fall like Dominoes is Nicki's latest single and use a sample from the song Dominoes by the Big Pink released in 2009, I say uses a sample, the song basically is her rapping over the verses and the chorus and the main tune are the same as the original.

Even though this is a good song and i can see radio dj's and nightclubs playing this song over and over i cannot hide away from the simple fact that the original was a huge tune i feel it has been ruined. But as she is such a big artist i can see this song being MASSIVE!!
This is not the Official video but its the best i could find.

Twenty Twenty - 'Love To Life'

Twenty Twenty are a Pop/Rock band from London and are made up of 3 members two of which are brothers. They formed in 2009 and released their first studio album in 2011 but have previously had a few singles including, Get Down and Worlds apart.

Love to Life is their latest single to be released and has the usual Twenty Twenty sound. If your not sure what that sound is it's a very pop, melodic sounding guitar tracks with good verses and choruses to sing along to. The only difference with this song is that they sound like they are trying to develop as a band from being a cheesy pop rock band to being an anthemic pop/rock band such as You Me At Six. They aren't there yet but a bit of work and they could be.

With all this said I'm not sure whether this track could enter the top 10 in the charts but i still fell that it is very good and worth a few listens.

Wretch 32 feat Example - Unorthodox

Wretch 32 is a grime artist from London who is well known for his first  single Traktor which got to number 5 in the UK singles chart in January 2011. But before this he was a part of  The Movement which featured other London based grime artists, Devlin and Scorcher.

Unorthodox is his second single and features London based singer/rapper Example,  It features a sample of The Stone Roses song Fools Gold which takes up the backing tune. As an upcoming artist Wretch 32 is talking about being Unorthodox, Being different and not following others, which i think he is trying do as an artist. The song is a quality catchy Hip Hop track which you could chill out and listen to as well as put on at a party and have a good time to.

With the combination of this up and coming artist and the vocals of example this track is Massive and will be fighting the competition to try and get to the top of the charts which i think it can.

As most of you that read this are my friends on Facebook their is a group set up so that you can comment on there if you want to. Just search Hiporhopmusic on Facebook.

LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennet and GoonRock - Party Anthem

LMFAO are an Electro Hip Hop duo from LA California. Previous singles include, I'm in Miami Bitch and La La La, both of which were very popular in the U.S and in the U.K. I'm in Miami made it to number 9 in the U.K charts when it was mixed with Chuckie - Let the bass kick in.

Party Anthem is the latest single from LMFAO and it is what it says it is, a Massive PARTY ANTHEM. It starts off with an Anthemic dance beat in the background that makes you want to get up dancing from the opening seconds, that is followed by LMFAO's usual rapping in the verses. But the best part of this song is the addictive Electro beat in the middle that will be stuck in your head for weeks to come.

If you like tracks such as: Sydney Sampson - Riverside or Chuckie & LMFAO - Let the Bass Kick In Miami Bitch, then i guarantee you will love this too.

Dionne Bromfield ft Diggy Simmons

Dionne Bromfield is a young singer from London and is Amy Winehouse's God Daughter. Dionne may only be 15 but she has a very Big Soulfull voice which reminds me off people such as Duffy and Amy Winehouse. She was also Signed to Amy's Record Label in 2009.

'Ye Right' is the first single off her forthcoming album 'Good For The Soul' and she has teamed up with teenage rapper Diggy Simmons. The story of a Girl who is questioning her boyfriend being faithfull towards her, but with a girl of this age singing a song about love and being faithfull you wouldnt expect it to be as great as it is. But with a voice of a women twice her age and a Rap verse in the middle from Diggy it makes this song very very now and i can see it being a massive hit.

Mike Posner ft Lil Wayne - Bow Chicka Wow Wow

Mike Posner is well known for his massive hit 'Cooler Than Me' and now he's back for his latest single featuring Rapper Lil Wayne.

I'm going to be honest and i think this track is truly AWFUL, with both artists being very experience with writing huge hits you would have thought that this would be a great match but your wrong. The song is about a man trying to get a woman into bed, not a great storyline as it is but with the added fact that the lyrics are rubbish as well makes it worse.

I'm really trying to pull out some positives but i cant, even the rap section with Lil Wayne is shocking. They tried to make a funny love song which has not happened and just ended up making a wowefull attempt. Unlucky lads better luck next time. But as always write me a comment if you disagree with anything I have said.

Released 3rd April 2011

Jodie Connor ft Tinchy Stryder - 'Bring It'.

Jodie Connor is well known for providing guest vocals on Roll Deep's 2010 track 'Green Light' but has recently released her debut single 'Now or Never'.

'Bring It' is her second solo single and features rapper Tinchy Stryder. The track is a real dance floor anthem, with Jodie's amazing voice and the dance feel to the track, you can just imagine this being played in all the Nightclubs. The only genre i can put this in is RnB/Dance which seems to be very popular with Artists at the moment with the likes of JLS and Tinie Tempah doing the same. I suggest definitely go out and buy this single you will not be disappointed.

Katy Perry ft Kanye West - E.T

Once again Katy Perry has collaborated with a massive name in her latest single E.T. This single has a real Electro feel to it as well as her usual Pop sounding choruses, Kanye doesn't feature a lot in this track but as you know whatever he touches is genius and this song is no different.

Both Katy and Kanye are massive both here and in the U.S and this track only heightens their credibility. This track will be huge wherever you go so i am giving it 5*.

Trey Songz ft Nicki Minaj - Bottoms up

Trey Songz is an American Singer Songwriter who has Produced 4 albums in his career, bottoms up is his latest single from the 2010 album Passion, Pain & Pleasure and features American female rapper Nicki Minaj.

If I'm honest i personally don't like this song, I think the tune is very repetitive and they way this song sounds is no different to any other American RnB song from the last few years. I feel the only thing that saves this song is the rap towards the end and that's all thanks to Nicki Minaj. She is very talented and has saved this very average song.
But make your own decision and check out the video below.
