Released April 22nd

Childish Gambino - Heartbeat

Donald Glover, who uses the stage name 'Childish Gambino', is an american rapper and comedian. He is best known for being a writer for the massive US show 30 rock and his debut album was released in 2011 via Glassnote Records.

Heartbeat is the first single off of the album 'Camp' to be released in the UK. From the melodic piano intro to the grimy bassline throughout , this song gets better the more you listen. To top this track off  Childish Gambino has a unique rapping style which keeps this track fresh and current. He is clearly an incredibly talented writer and artist and i cant wait to hear the rest of his stuff.

Maverick Sabre - I Used To Have It All

Maverick Sabre is an Irish-English singer songwriter, he was born in London but moved to Ireland at an early age. He has worked with UK rapper Professor Green and toured with Plan B. Maverick Sabre's debut album 'Lonely are the Brave' was released late last year and he has already released three singles in the UK the highest reaching number 16 in the charts.

'I Used To Have It All' is a true reflection of how amazing this artist is, his sensationally soulful voice with its unique twang is truly mesmerizing. I have always been a huge fan of this artist ever since witnessing him support Plan B early last year and this track just enhances my love for him.

Taio Cruz ft Flo Rida - Hangover

Taio Cruz is an English Singer/Songwriter and Producer who has worked with some massive artists all around the world such as 'Ludacris, Travie McCoy and Kylie Minogue' as well as written songs for 'JLS, Cheryl Cole and David Guetta. Some of his hits include ' Dynamite, Break your heart and Little Bad Girl.'

In his latest track Taio has teamed up with US rapper Flo Rida in what can be described as 'Summer dance floor Anthem'. With a 'jamming' style guitar riff at the start and a 'Dance Anthem' feel throughout this track will be rocking the dance floors around the world this summer. If i had one criticism it would be that we don't here enough of Flo Rida but apart from that this track will be HUGE!!

Rizzle Kicks - Traveller's Chant

Rizzle Kiicks are a Hip Hop duo from Brighton who released their first album 'Stereo Typical' in 2011. Jordan and Harley (Rizzle Kicks) both went to the famous performing arts school 'Brit School' where they teamed up and produced a mix tape called 'Minor Breaches of Discipline'.

Traveller's chant is their 5th single off of their debut album and in my opinion they must have got their inspiration for the track from the hip hop group 'The Streets'due to the slow rapping in the verse and the addictive chorus.

As someone who has never been a huge fan of the guys, this track is going someway to changing my mind. As a group with a huge following already i have no doubt that track will have no problem in breaking into the Top 10

New Track
The Milk - Broke up the family

The Milk are a rock band from London UK. I personally don't know a lot about this band as the first time I heard about them was on Soccer AM last weekend where I instantly fell in love with this track.

'Broke Up The Family' will be the first track they will release and its an addictively catchy tune that you will love from the moment you press play. First of all the Lead singer has an incredible voice which is only complimented by toe tapping guitar riffs and drum beats. I am predicting GREAT things for this band and i hope they get the recognition that they deserve!

If you want to hear more from this band check out some of their other tracks at www.thisisthemilk.com

Released October 16th

Lana Del Rey - Video Games

Lana Del Rey, which is the stage name of American Singer/Songwriter Elizabeth Grant, was born in New York and is a promising young artist who's recent tour sold out in just half an hour.

Video Games is her debut single, this beautiful track combines her amazing voice with the soothing sounds of Harps throughout this song which just makes u melt. This is the perfect song to just completely relax too or to reminisce about times gone by. I feel this track has very strong influences from Artists such as Florence and the Machine and Paloma Faith.

I completely adore this song and recon lots of other people do as well, which is why i think it will do EXTREMELY well once released.

Nicki Minaj ft Rihanna - Fly

In the world of Hip Hop and R'n'B 2011 is the year of Nicki Minaj, she has completely taken over the top of the charts with every track she has released and has featured on tracks with some of the biggest artists around such as David Guetta, Tres Songz and Drake. Nicki Minaj is signed to Lil Wayne's record lable Young Money Entertainment and featured on their track Bed Rock in 2010.

Fly is the latest single to be released from her latest album Pink Friday and features Another massive artist Rihanna. This track is all about being the best and not letting people put you down, with the chorus stating "I came to win, to conquer, to thrive," and Nicki Minaj rapping "They got their guns out aiming at me, but i become Neo when they aiming at me."

This track also featured on the judges house section on this years X Factor with one of the contestants singing both parts. Even without this exposure the song would be huge but with the extra coverage this song is only going to prove that Nicki Minaj is becoming an unstoppable force in the world of R'n'B.

Delilah - Go

Delilah is a British singer songwriter who  featured on Chase and Status track "Time" which got to number 21 in the UK Chartat the beggining of 2011."Go" is the debute single from Delilah and features a sample from the 1980's hit "Aint No Body" by Chaka Khan.

This song starts with a backing beat that keeps you hyptnotised all the way through and a vocal that is amazing but slightly haunting, this track gathers momentum from start to finish and ends with a mellow Drum and Bass beat that doesn't feel out of place. This song can suit any mood, whether your on your way out to a nightclub or you just want to relax at home.

This is an amazingly beautiful song from a very talented women, im predicting big things from this track.

Evanescence  - What you want

Evanescence are an American Rock Band from Arkansas U.S.A and are famously fronted by Amy Lee. They have produced many albums and have had a couple of massive singles here in the U.K such as "Bring me to Life" and "My Immortal"."What you want" is the first single to be released from their forthcoming album coming out later in the year.

Amy Lee is well known for her amazing voice and this song is no difference, mixing that with very heavy guitar riff in the background this track is definately the usual Evenescence sound. Even though it is a great mix  the end product is very satisfactory and the song doesnt go anywhere. Im a big fan of some of their early music and this track doesn't live up to their reputation.

Even though there are good bits in the track i can't see this making an impression on the U.K Charts as music has evolved and i don't feel this Band has evolved with it.

Jay Sean ft Lil Wayne - Hit The Lights

Jay Sean is a British singer/songwriter who has been around the U.K/USA R'N'B scene for many years collaborating with Huge artists along the way. 'Hit the Lights' is his latest single to be released and features American rapper Lil Wayne, who he has already had massive success working with on the single 'Down'.

It seems to be a common theme nowadays for R'N'B artists to put a dance melody in the background for them to sing over the top, whereas mostly this has worked for many artists i feel that this song is very plain and boring and does not make me want to jump up and dance which the others have previously done. The most interesting thing about this song is there is a very small dubstep section towards the end of the track which has no place in the song and just makes it sound very random. But its not me that decides if YOU like it so check it out for yourself below.

Blue - I Can

Well as you know if you usually read my blog i normally start off with a bit of background information on the artist before reviewing the song but Blue were such a big boyband from around 2001 - 2005 that i feel you all should know about them anyway. If you didn't know Blue have reformed this year for the Eurovision song contest, the craziest and fumiest music contest there is, and this is the track they have recorded for the competition.

'I Can' is an up tempo catchy pop song that shows even though they have been out of the picture for some years they will be coming back with a BANG! In the way music has come over the years boybands are usually found to be uncool but i cant hide the fact i like this song, with the electronic feel to the voices in places and the big baseline in the back, this song is definitely relevant in the way music is going. BUT can they win the Eurovision song contest.......... Probably not and thats only because its based on Relations between countries and not singing ability. After saying all that they have a great chance of getting in the top 5 in the charts and i suggest definitely listening to THIS.

Released April 25th

Nero - Guilt

Nero are an Electronic Drum and Bass/Dubstep Duo from London. Even though they are just breaking through into mainstream charts Nero have been around the D'n'B/Dubstep scene for a couple of years, DJing and remixing as well as working on their album.

Guilt is their next single to be released from their forthcoming album 'Welcome Reality' and it features vocals from Alana Watson who appears on many of their tracks. As far as Dubstep tracks go 'Guilt' is a very calm and melodic track. With amazing vocals and massive baselines this tune will be big everywhere you go.

Elbow - Open Arms

Elbow are an alternative rock band from England. They have been around for many years creating 4 very good albums and even winning the Mercury Music Prize in 2008, Open Arms is the second single from their latest album 'Build A Rocket Boys!'

'Open Arms' has the usual anthemic sound that Elbow are famous for but at the same time it has a beautiful melodic style to it. The one bad thing is that this song doesn't seem to go anywhere as it builds up and then fades away just as quickly.

They are a massive band with an amazing sound but i feel this song will not be liked by everybody which is why i think it will struggle to break the top 20.
